Earn double frequent flyer points on Qantas and Emirates flights

For a limited time, you'll earn double frequent flyer tier points on eligible Qantas operated domestic and international flights and Emirates operated flights with a Qantas flight number between Australia and New Zealand.

With double points, you have the opportunity to move up membership levels faster. And the higher you go, the more privileges you enjoy when flying, so now is a great time to book with Qantas.

Here's how to earn double frequent flyer tier points:

  • Simply register for this offer (all passengers in the booking must register separately to earn double status credits)
  • Make a new booking on an eligible Qantas operated domestic or international flight; or Emirates operated flight with a Qantas flight number between Australia and New Zealand
  • Book between March 2 and March 6, 2017, for travel from March 2, 2017 to February 19, 2018
  • Don't forget to include your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number in your booking
  • Once registered, you can earn double frequent flyer tier points on multiple bookings

Remember, you earn more points on more flexible fares and more points the higher the cabin class.

What is the difference between tier points and air miles?

When you fly you will earn two types of ‘points’. Air miles, which are called different things by different airlines and can be used to buy or upgrades flights. Qantas call theirs Qantas Points, while Emirates call them Skywards Miles.

Tier points are used to move you up the membership status levels, which gives you benefits like lounge access and priority check-in.
