New flights from London to Cairns coming soon

Big news was announced this week for UK passengers looking to fly to Queensland. One of Asia’s largest airline, China Southern Airlines is launching its fifth Australian route this December, opening up Queensland’s tropical north to UK passengers. The new route will fly from London Heathrow to Cairns, three times per week, via Guangzhou in China, from December 13, 2017 with fares from £578 return, including all taxes.

Dubbed as 'the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef', Cairns is known for its tropical, laid-back environment with a wide range of attractions and activities to suit all travellers. Whether it be relaxing on the beach resorts of Port Douglas, or learning about Aboriginal culture at Tjapukai park, snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef or exploring the Daintree Rainforest, the destination has something for everyone.

Cairns is China Southern Airlines’ fifth addition to its Australian portfolio, with existing routes flying to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

China Southern Airlines is a member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance and currently flies twice daily from London Heathrow Terminal 4.

The new flight schedule will operate at the following times:
