Norwegian Air launches new direct route between London Gatwick and Singapore

From September 28, low cost carrier Norwegian Air will operate four weekly flights, increasing to five in the winter, from London Gatwick to Singapore Changi Airport.

The new Singapore route will be operated on a 787 Dreamliner aircraft offering up to 344 seats in both economy and Premium cabins. Premium cabin fares are available from £699 one way which includes No1 Lounges access at Gatwick, seating with more than a metre of legroom, complimentary meal service.

Flights are now on sale from £179 one way economy.

Norwegian Air seem to be doing for long haul air travel what Easyjet did for short haul in the 1990s - opening up destinations to a new generation of travellers through a combination of low cost combined with a decent quality product.

London Gatwick to Singapore Changi Airport:

• Departs Gatwick: 10:30 – Monday, Thursday

• Arrives Singapore: 06:15+1

• Departs Gatwick: 22:30 – Tuesday, Saturday

• Arrives Singapore: 18:15+1

Singapore Changi Airport to London Gatwick:

• Departs Singapore: 08:50 – Tuesday

• Arrives Gatwick: 15:30

• Departs Singapore: 23:40 - Wednesday, Sunday

• Arrives Gatwick: 06:20+1

• Departs Singapore: 08:15 - Friday

• Arrives Gatwick: 14:55
