Lufthansa doubles frequent flyer air miles for members in 2021

German airline Lufthansa has announced that on all flights operated by the airlines of the Lufthansa Group in 2021, flyers will be credited with twice as many status miles as before, regardless of the booking class. For the first time, you can also earn double the HON Circle miles in First and Business Class. This will happen automatically, and retroactively, for any flights you have taken since 1 January 2021.

This promotion is valid on all flights with the Lufthansa Group (Austrian Airlines [OS], Lufthansa and Lufthansa Private Jet [LH], SWISS [LX], Eurowings [EW], Brussels Airlines [SN], Air Dolomiti [EN], Edelweiss Air [WK]), Croatia Airlines (OU), Luxair (LG) and LOT Polish Airlines (LO) on which status miles and HON Circle miles are awarded.

Lufthansa’s frequent flyer programme is Miles & More and is part of the Star Alliance frequent flyer network. HON Circle is the highest tier of Miles & More membership. Frequent Traveller and Senator are the other tiers.
