There is a strange psychology

Paris has many must-see sites, from world class museums to art and architecture. The fire at Notre Dame, one of its most iconic landmarks, commanded headlines across the world in 2019.

Colombia is a fascinating place. In most people’s minds the South American country is linked with the cocaine trade of the 80s and 90s.

One of the great pleasures of my recent trip to South Africa was spending three nights in the wonderful Fugitives Drift Lodge overlooking the Buffalo River.

I flew with Thai Airways for the first time in 2004 and, between 2004 and 2009, I took several economy and business class flights, both international and within Thailand. From the first flight, it became my favourite airline.

In the last few years Croatia has become a major tourist destination, especially Dubrovnik, Split and Hvar. Flights have become expenses as a result and hotel prices are starting to approach more established areas of Southern Europe.

I lay on the cool grass by a picturesque lake while a dry hot sun cast the last rays of the day. It was a Sunday and the locals were busying themselves at Victory Park enjoying the weather and the fountains.

Day 2 of the investigation

In one particularly memorable episode of the classic 80s TV show Dallas, oil baron JR Ewing spitefully says to his half-brother Ray “You’re nothing but a dumb cowboy.” Ray replies “Yeah but I can still knock you on your butt.”

Lopburi is not a town that many tourists to Thailand visit.
