Qantas frequent flyers can now book reward seats online on Oneworld airlines
Qantas has announced that its frequent flyers can now use their points to book reward seats online with all Oneworld member airlines, including Japan Airlines (JAL).
Qantas Frequent Flyer (literally, the name of its frequent flyer programme) members can now use their Qantas Points (the name of its air miles currency) to make redemption bookings online with all Oneworld partners through the Qantas website, including JAL, giving members access to the 1,000+ destinations in nearly 160 territories across the Oneworld alliance network, and a total of more than 1,200 destinations worldwide with Qantas’ 50+ airline partners.
Oneworld is the name of one of the three big global airline alliances that allows you to earn and use air miles across a range of airlines within that alliance.
Previously, Qantas Frequent Flyers had to make reward seat bookings with JAL by phoning the Qantas contact centre, but now members can redeem their Qantas Points online for a reward seat on JAL’s network, which stretches across 70 destinations in 20 territories.
Being part of the Oneworld alliance offers eligible Qantas Frequent Flyer members reciprocal benefits across the network including lounge access and priority check-in and boarding, plus the ability to earn Qantas Points and Status Credits on eligible flights with all Oneworld partner airlines – and redeem Qantas Points for reward flights across their joint network too.
Qantas Frequent Flyers can use their Qantas Points for a round the world trip with Oneworld partners on an Economy Classic Flight Reward from 140,000 points plus fees, taxes and carrier charges.
