British Airways begin new flights to Alpine ski city of Chambery

British Airways has launched flights from London Stansted to the French Alpine city of Chambery.

The weekend flights will give customers access to some of the top snow and ski resorts like Val d’Isere (pictured), La Plagne, Meribel and Courchevel.

Each way fares are available for £49 and other fares which include ski carriage are also available. Flights depart from Stansted at 7.20am returning at 10.50am on Saturdays and at 8.20am returning at 11.50am on Sundays. All British Airways flights include a choice of two cabins, Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveller (economy class).

If you want to book with Avios air miles a one way flight in Club Europe will cost you around 8000 miles.

The new twice-weekly service to Chambery will complement the British Airways service from London City Airport which operates three times a week increasing to a daily service over the Christmas and NewYear period.

The winter only flights from Stansted to Chambery will operate until April 16, 2017.
