Delta Air Lines flying back to Mumbai

Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop flights between the United States and Mumbai, India, next year. The announcement follows agreements between the US and the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Qatar to address the issue of government subsidies provided to state-owned carriers in those nations. This move will mark a return to India for Delta, which was forced to exit the market after subsidised state-owned airlines made service economically unviable.

Delta Air Lines is also adding another destination to its growing nonstop options from Boston’s Logan International Airport, with new daily nonstop service to Philadelphia, beginning Oct 1. The service will be flown four times daily on CRJ-900 aircraft operated by Delta Connection carrier Endeavor Air.
