Jet Airways and Aeromexico announce new frequent flyer deal

India’s Jet Airways and Aeromexico of Mexico are working towards greater cooperation on codeshare flights and frequent flyer programmes. To begin, both carriers will codeshare on each other’s services between India and Mexico via common gates in Europe, including London Heathrow.

To begin with, Jet Airways will place its marketing code “9W” on Aeromexico flights from London Heathrow to Mexico City. In turn, Aeromexico will place its marketing code on Jet Airways’ direct services from London Heathrow to Mumbai and Delhi. In other words, If you think you’ve booked a Jet Airways flight from India to Mexico, only the India to UK leg will be with them.

Importantly the deal includes cooperation on reciprocal Frequent Flyer benefits for members.

The initial codeshare flights via London Heathrow will open for sale as well as travel later this year.

Jet Airways’ frequent flyer programme is JetPrivilege and, together with airberlin, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, Alitalia, Etihad Airways, Etihad Regional operated by Darwin Airline, and NIKI, participates in Club Premier alliance.

Aeromexico’s Club Premier frequent flyer programme is part of the SkyTeam network.
