New BA deal earns you triple Avios air miles and free First Class upgrade

British Airways frequent flyer members (Executive Club) and those belonging to the On Business programme (aimed at small and medium enterprises) who make a booking on any British Airways, American Airlines or Iberia flight travelling between September 7 and December 11, 2016, will be eligible to collect three times the Avios or On Business Points they would normally accrue. Both programmes have a limit of four return flights, or eight one-way flights, for this promotion.

Avios is the name of the points, also known as mile, you accrue when you fly with British Airways. Under the promotion Executive Club Members booking a flexible World Traveller (economy) seat to New York will earn 10,374 Avios, enough to get a one-way reward flight to Madrid. World Traveller Plus (premium economy) customers booking a flexible ticket will earn 15,561 Avios, which will get them a one-way reward flight to Dubai. Club World (business class) customers will accrue 25,935, plenty of Avios to secure a one-way flight to Los Angeles and First travellers will earn 31,122 Avios worth a one-way reward flight to Singapore (and very nearly enough to get to Sydney).

These are in addition to the bonus Avios Executive Club members collect with Bronze members accruing 25 per cent more, Silver members accruing 50 per cent more and Gold members accruing 100 per cent more Avios.

Under the promotion On Business members will earn enough points to secure a reward flight to Amsterdam when they spend just £750 on travel.

Customers who are members of On Business can also join the Executive Club thereby earning points for their business and Avios for themselves and are able to benefit from both promotions.

Any customers wanting to take part in the promotions need to register at www.ba.com/onbusiness or www.ba.com/tripleavios

Today British Airways has also launched an upgrade to First for free promotion. Customers who book a Club World (business class) seat for travel between September 7 and December 11, 2016 will have the opportunity to upgrade to First one-way for free. Customers will have access to fast-track security and access to the First lounge or Concorde Room (outbound from Heathrow Terminal 5). The offer is only available on published fares and all routes with a First cabin are included, with the exception of Bermuda. Bookings must be made and flown between September 6 and December 11, 2016. For details, please visit www.ba.com/upgrade
