New lounge reward scheme for travellers launches

A new app-based reward scheme for travellers, Aspire Lounges, has launched offering incentives including free airport lounge stays and shopping vouchers to customers using the lounge.

Customers booking a lounge visit directly can earn rewards quicker, including gift vouchers for stores like John Lewis and Marks and Spencer, and free stays at luxury airport lounges all over the world.

The Aspire Lounges scheme, accessible through a new mobile app, has replaced the previous Aspire scheme, LoungeMiles, where users would collect a stamp each time they visited a participating lounge and after five visits, they would receive a free visit.

Now, lounge goers will receive points per visit and upon reaching a certain level of points, they can either receive a free visit or a £5 gift voucher.

Each adult booking direct with Aspire Lounges will earn 4 points per whole pound spent. This means an adult booking can earn up to 148 points, a benefit over booking through a third-party website, where the same booking will only receive a maximum of 50 points.

To activate the free visits, customers need to achieve 500 points for one free lounge visit or 700 points for the E-voucher.
